About me:
http://skevsblog.blogspot.co.uk/
Started out as a birder, started doing moths in 1999, became more interested in general stuff and compiled my initial PSL list in 2011 (1983 species). Main current interests are entomology and inverts generally rather than green stuff.
Age:
54
My bogey species:
No bogeys, as in species I've tried many times to see but failed. Lots of species I could see when I make the effort; still several non-BB birds (inc. Leach's Petrel, Roseate Tern and Ortolan Bunting), and still plenty of common insects to find locally, let alone Nationally.
My grippers:
Used to be Stellar's Eider, Oriental Pratincole, Marmora's Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, Crag Martin, Short-toed Eagle, Siberian Thrush, White's Thrush - all fallen. Still clinging on to Grey-tailed Tattler and maybe Snowy Egret.
Main moth highlight is Herpetogramma licarsisalis. Monarch butterfly and Risso's Dolphin on Scillies. I don's imagine many PSLers have Polyphylla fullo on their lists. Hard to have many grippers when you are a PSL low-lister!
Latest addition:
Dermestes lardarius [Col], Whetstone Leics. 27/05/2023; Exomias pellucidus [Col], Whetstone Leics. 26/05/2023; Sapyga quinquepunctata [Hym], Whetstone Leics. 22/05/2023; Ctenophora pectinicornis [Dip], Elmesthorpe Plantation Leics. 13/05/2023
