... but there's almost nothing written in The Rules that hasn't been challenged, debated and disagreed with at some point. Possibly the only Rule that everyone agrees on is the last one: "Be your own judge"!

Hi, I am very very new to pan species listing, with only 29 species currently listed. Just a few quick questions to get into it. Can I list species I have seen and identified succseccfully through photography or an expert, before officially starting my list? And also what is the best catorgorization system for a list? If you could let me know that would be great as I am very new to this but have always been interested in nature and envrionmental sciences and think this is such as great project to work on.
