About me:
I'm experienced, good sense of humour, know how to show a girl a good time...oh wait wrong site...I've been birding and botanizing for approaching 40 years, I've seen over 2000 species of vascular plants in Britain but I've only see Ghost Orchid 3 times. My bird list is nearer 500 than 400. I done a fair amount of mothing, butterflies, dragonflies. I'm nearing retirement and looking for something to keep me busy when I finally break free from wage slavery. But my records need databasing so I've a lot of Mapmating to do.
My bogey species:
Cory's Shearwater, Groenlandia densa, Basking Shark
My most wanted:
Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Black-billed Cuckoo, Northern parula, Killer Whale, Wildcat, Summer Ladies Tresses
My grippers:
Ghost Orchid (3 times) Asplenium x confluens (not seen in England since the 19th C until I found a bit growing in Leek, Staffordshire), Golden-winged Warbler, Red-breasted Nuthatch
Latest addition:
Little Bustard
