About me:
I'm a Coventry kid and have been passionate about wildlife right from an early age, nurtured by Tarka, Enid Blyton and Mrs Stravinsky (who led some kind of wildlife club at my primary school). From a young age I always wanted to be a zoologist but ended up in farming and, then, lots of other things since, spending most of my working life as a Pastor and Chaplain! What I love more than anything is encouraging others, leading wildlife assemblies and walks, focusing on inspiring young people when I was privileged to chair the Bedfordshire NHS, and setting up various local and national FB Groups, including the UK Hoverflies Group. PSL has inspired me and given me the confidence to do so much that I always dreamed of! I spend an increasing number of hours every week bent over the stereo- and compound microscopes and I'm loving learning new skills and tackling new groups...every day's a school day! I'm also mega-grateful for a long-suffering wife! :-)
