About me:
I have been a naturalist from the pram. When I was five, the family moved to deepest Norfolk where there was little else to do but study wildlife. Having studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge, I taught briefly and then became head of biology in the Hampshire County Museum Service. In 1988, I went freelance as an ecological consultant. This allowed me to lead natural history holidays around the world. I have one book published, Scilly Birding: Joining the Madding Crowd and two accepted for future publication. Is No problem, Tales of Fun and Tribulation as a tour leader, and Lichens of Jersey. Although lichens are my main interest, my activities are broad, and throughout wildlife. My knowledge of Coleoptera, Hymenoptera and Arachnida is limited, and ripe for improvement.
