About me:
I am a born again naturalist (after work & children got in the way) I am a member of the British Myriapod & Isopod Group, have recently started to learn more groups (mainly invertebrates) after being inspired by the Biodiversity Fellowship scheme run by the FSC . I am often to be found on my knees grubbing about under stones, dead wood & anywhere else interesting inverts may be lurking.
Age:
My bogey species:
A self found Porcellio spinicornis (cured on the 2014 BMIG field weekend), Labia minor, Ectobius pallidus(PSL Portland w/e)
Just that pesky earwig to go
My most wanted:
Phaneroptera falcata (Dungeness 28/viii/2015), Apterygida media,
My grippers:
Pachymerium ferrugineum
Latest addition:
Calodromius spilotus, Bembidion biguttatatum, Bembidion mannerheimii, 07/01/15 Dinton Pastures, from playing with deadwood by torchlight instead of looking for Winter moths like I was supposed to be doing. Ocys harpaloides, Temnothorax nylanderi, 11/01/15, Dinton Pastures, knocked out of dead wood.
