About me:
I have been studying natural history for some thirty years, seventeen in a professional capacity. I currently work in Sussex as the Senior Ecologist for Sussex Wildlife Trust where I advise on the management of reserves based upon the results of the ecological surveys I carry out. I run a number of identification courses and I also do freelance ecological consultancy, particualrly entomology. I am the county recorder for Heteroptera and spiders. My main areas of interest are birds, plants and invertebrates and a lot of my spare time is spent in the field. I don't look like a birdwatcher. You can follow my progress on my blog: http://analternativenaturalhistoryofsussex.blogspot.co.uk/

As of 13th January 2024, my pan-species list is now up to date on https://panspecieslisting.com and I am no longer updating my list here. A huge thanks to BRC for funding this site over the last ten years. This website will be left running for the rest of the year, to allow time for people to move across to https://panspecieslisting.com and add their species but from today I will not be accepting any new accounts here.
