About me:
I am based in Cornwall, I started bird watching (with note book) at 14. I have been Pan Species Listing since then but mostly since 2002. I wanted to work with dinosaurs but have recently found out they are extinct, I have a degree in Zoology. I have always kept a list of other things noted while in the field, so now I would like to see everything before it also becomes extinct!
Age:
My bogey species:
Dusky Warbler, Corncrake, Risso's Dolphin and Yellow-necked Mouse
My most wanted:
Wildcat!
My grippers:
Porbeagle, Bouncius parensis and Lancelet - Amphioxus lanceolatus.
Latest addition:
Not a big year for me but added 38 species, my year list ended on 506 which was lower than last year. Was bitten by a Speckled Sea Louse which was my only new crustacean and my highlight was finally adding Blue Fin Tuna on my first stay at Portland for a few years. I have added a good few moths with the lights at work acting as a moth trap over the summer. I also went through my old notebooks and found several species not on my list which I've now added. Plan on getting a bit more motivated in 2023. Back on track again! Happy hunting for the new year!
