Cladonia norvegica

Cladonia norvegica. This is a very ordinary looking, squamulose species that has one feature that aids very usefully in identification. When attacked by mites, the damaged area leaves a bright red scar. There are scattered localities for it in UK in woodland and it is probably under recorded.
