Cladonia carneola. Another Cladonia with goblet or cup-shaped podetia, but these are finely sorediate all over. Although not always present, the brown apothecia also help to confirm this species. It is however rare, and confined to the native, ancient pine forests of Scotland. This photograph was taken in Abernethy Forest.
