Caloplaca chrysodeta

Caloplaca chrysodeta. The other none fertile, sorediate species that used to belong to Leproplaca. This consists of rather dull yellow, crowded granules. It is fairly fequent on calcareous substrates, and this photograph was taken on rather shaded rocks beside the sunken footpath that leads from St Catherimne's Wood, Jersey.
