Hi - I found this cool little Beetle around the Parrett Estuary a fortnight ago and my coleoptera knowledge is limited. Can anyone point me towards the ID or help in anyway? In terms of size that is a pen in the background.

That's a Cassida - Tortoise Beetle. Looks like Cassida vittata but Mark Telfer is your man for beetles. If you don't get any more response in a day or so, try the Facebook page.

Thanks - it looks good for C. vittata.
I wouldn't like to say if it was vittata or nobilis but it's definitely one of the two. They're easier from below as the pictures at the bottom of this page show:
