About me:
I'm originally from Surrey, but I now live near Salisbury, Wiltshire. My interest in wildlife was sparked when, at the age of 8, I went on a guided walk to look for butterflies, and we saw a Purple Emperor sitting on the path in front of us. It was awe-inspiring. I therefore became interested in butterflies and other insects. However, 10 years ago I got into birds, when I noticed my first Redwing, near to my College. I have birded ever since, including occasional twitching! 8 years ago I got into plants, then, 7 years ago I bought a moth trap, concentrating on macros. A few years ago I started paying more attention to Fungi. Finally, I attempted micro moths 4 years ago when the new book came out. Now, I consider myself an all-round naturalist, with a slight leaning towards birds and moths.
