About me:
I've worked for my local Wildlife Trust, covering Beds, Cambs and Northants, since 1997, and had a great 14 years in the national BRC before that. Been recording a wide range of groups since my teens, first around the lowland peat bogs of south Yorkshire, and more widely since then. I've never specialised, and dabble in most groups of plants and animals, but I'm particularly fond of ground-beetles, molluscs and Cladonia lichens. Since the final volume of Sell & Murrell's Flora appeared in 2018, goldilocks-buttercups and elms have taken a lot of my time.
In compiling totals, I've now divided my 'plant galls' between their major taxa, so now my 'other animal' count includes rotifers, gastrotrichs, nematodes and Nematophora.
In recent years, I've photographed many of the species I've found. Pics can be seen at https://www.flickr.com/photos/cladoniophile/
