About me:
With no professional background in natural history I started birding a few years ago after a very long break,a non twitcher. It dawned on me after a little while that I was spending more time looking at "other stuff", and my non birding bookshelf was expanding rapidly. Moth trapping followed and realising how general natural history was more accessible than birds, and how much more satisfying finding and ID'ing your own stuff was, that I was really a Naturalist. Becoming a bit of a pan lister seemed a way of keeping things organised. I will plod along, mainly on my patch, and prop up the list.
