Childwall Woods and Fields

This is an urban local wildlife site. Three layers of ex landfill are now a mix of scrub and grassland with some woodland originating from landfill remediation. Also a large two part woodland, part semi-natural beech woods and part remnant ornamental gardens with some glades in both. Habitat work of creating scrapes has enhanced wet areas. The site has seen a decent amount of recording by local naturalists and an active friends group and the list is steadily increasing.
