Yesterday, the West Weald Fungus Group were fortunate to have permission to visit Brookwood Cemetery - an amazing place but with a history of ownership and access problems. It is well-known for fungi and has some very rare species.

Tricholoma batschii a very rare species associated with Weymouth Pine.
...and from the sublime to the ridiculous. Coprinus comatus (Shaggy Parasol) Common but always nice to see.
Plenty of waxcaps and this one was doing what it said on the tin....
The line of the old Necropolis Railway which used to bring bodies from London. The cemetery was created to cope with the overspill of the dead from the capital.
