Xanthoria candelaria, a smaller species which has recently been split into three separate species. This one tends to be more three dimensional, that is subfruticose, and this character is the best for separating it from the other two. It is relatively frequent on both stone which is basic, and on trees. This photo is of an extreme example photographed in the Falkland Islands.
