Down in Devon over the summer and I visited Shaugh woods, a place I walked around in my teens, and also within the parish in which a bit of my family lived in the nineteenth century. However, this time I was looking for bryophytes and found this on an oak tree, which is not one I know (since it doesn't occur in Sussex). Rather pleased with the picture, too.
