Fulgensia fulgens

Fulgensia fulgens. One of two British species of ths genus seen here being very fertile at Braunton Burrows in Devon. It grows on calcareous soil which is very well grazed, and often in sand dune systems. In recent years, it has become very rare. It is very vulnerable to lack of suitable habitat management, as in Norfolk where it used to be present in the Brecklands. A nice obvious species so no need to collect.
