Cladonia cyathomorpha

Cladonia cyathomorpha. This is a species with large basal squamules, and occasional podetia which are pale, shallow-ly cup shaped and filled with coarse granules. It is brest distinguished, especially when lacking podetia by the veins on the lower side of the squamules, which are usually coloured pinkish to dark brown. My experience of it is that it isĀ  most often encountered on dry stone walls. It is not common.
