NWT Holme Dunes

The 281 hectare reserve is located on the Northwest Norfolk coast - 4 miles east of Hunstanton.  The site was brought by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust in 1965 and celebrates its 50 anniversery this year (2016).  The site is designated as part of the North Norfolk Coast SSSI on account of the intertidal sands and muds, saltmarshes, shingle banks and sand dunes.  There are extensive areas of brackish lagoons, freshwater pools, reedbeds and grazing marshes.
