7 months after deciding upon my 2015 Wildlife Resolutions, one of which would be to calculate my PSL total and set myself a target for 2015, I have finally done so! It's taken a while to sort through ... and to be honest, I have left off lichens/mosses/fungi because I can't remember which ones I've seen, so I am starting over on those. As of this evening (26/07/15), my total is 661.
- Latest addition: Common Toadflax (661)
- Highest taxon group totals: Lepidoptera (moths) - 189, Birds - 151, Vascular plants - 140
- Constantly dipping: Grayling butterfly (gah!)
- Recent favourites: Silver-washed Fritillary butterfly, Essex Skipper butterfly, Black Arches moth, White Satin moth, Swallow-tailed moth.
I have set myself the target of reaching 1000 by the end of 2015. I think I should be able to get that. We still have a decent season of moth-ing left, and if I really get cracking on micro-moths that will up my micros total! Plus of course, I still have some butterfly species to see. And plenty of plants/lichens/etc! Wish me luck!
